I've been piloting a new machine to run MediaPortal from my basement and push content around my house, but I have a few niggling problems, and I wondered if anyone can give me some quick answers. Sorry for all the questions but figured you may be able to point me in the right direction and get some of this stuff sorted..
1. On vista I can tune some channels and even start to watch but after about 2 seconds of playback it locks up. I'm pretty sure I have the latest drivers for all my hardware. It seems to work a lot better on XP, does this mean stick to XP?
2. How on earth do I get multiple recordings from the same transponder to work? I live in NZ and freeview is broadcast off just two transponders so theoretically I can record them all at the same time with a dual tuner card? I was trying to do it last night with a single tuner, but the guide shows all channels red, does that mean I can't watch them? Also does timeshifting being enabled have some effect?
3. Can I get it to display a thumbnail of each TV show, like vista media center does when I go to recorded tv?
4. I've spent countless hours getting my meta information right on my music - can I use this instead of browsing by file folder?
5. Can I import MyMovies information? I have catalogued several hundred movies using MyMovies and don't really want to have to go through the whole process again with MP.
