Hi

Firstly - a hello from myself ;)

Glad to have found you guys and this product which - after a few months of using windows explorer to play things on a tv 5ft away - is making my life far nicer.

Thanks to all involved in developing the product, i haven't thought of a thing yet that it cant do.

Quick question - i am using RC 1.0 on Windows XP Pro - P4 3.2Ghz - 2gb ram Radeon9800 Pro 128meg etc (old ish machine to sit near the tv) - and am finding that during the playback of both mkv's and standard divx / xvids, I am visibly able to see horizontal line breaks in the output - usually the kind i would find when playing a game that has v-sync turned off. Playback of the same files through media player classic is line free.

Have i missed an obvious setting / school boy error? I am going to start my way through the documentation and forums etc - just thought i would ask as one of you guys might be able to save me some time.

Cheers

Magic

n,b: is it worth me switching to the 0.23 release?

I think you're experiencing what's called 'tearing'. One thing that you can try to do is, in Configuration, goto Directshow Filter Control -> Video Renderer Settings and make sure that "Use exclusive mode" is checked. That MAY fix it for you.

Thanks for the quick reply

Exclusive mode was checked , i have unchecked it and it appears to have fixed the xvid tearing - i will investigate mkvs tomorow.

Cheers
