A question about the licence (1 Viewer)

Hello All

I recently tried the MediaPortal and it is really really nice and it is the best of all teh media center software that i tried, and it is open source!!! I would like to thanks all the developper who made it.

I would like to ask a question:
I am plannig to install MediaPortal and i am going to personalize it, is it possible to sell a computer with the new version that i will made? is it allowed

As MediaPortal is licened under GNU/GPL it is allowed.

But IMO it would be a nice and fair move to spend the team some of the money. Especially if you are planning to send everybody for support to this forum.

Thank you a lot for the reply and sure i am going to donate, but the problem is that in tunisie we don't have Mastercards tha we can use in websites, i will try t a way to donate, they deserve this because of all the effort that they done

Yes it is allowed of course ! But you have the obligation to post all the modifications you made to the source code. That what the GNU is about...
