All,
Hope this post might help some out who is or has just upgraded to Windows 8.1.
Post-installation I suddenly had a problem with my CIR connection on my Asrock (FM2 – A85) mobo no longer working. Appears as though Win 8.1 installation kills the CIR driver, and a new one is needed. Of course, the ASrock website is out of date...!
For me, driver version 2.5.1003 did not work with 8.1, but version 2.9.1007 did, and you can get it here..

Alos, post 8.1 install I had no TV channels on my TBS 6280 card. So I 1) updated the driver 2) re-tuned through TV server as normal and all was well.
It would probably worth you checking 2) to begin with, as my instinct tells me the problem is that 8.1 seems to kill the channels, either through MP or the TBS card/driver.
