Before I download and install MediaPortal, I need to know that it can do something very specific...

...Can MediaPortal stream internet video (from YouTube), through my home network to my TV?
(ie. The TV's connected to my router.)

Just install the OnlineVideos plugin - from there you can stream a lot of videos and live streams (I think there are more than 120 sites supported)

But it won't stream them in the network! You need to connect your TV to the PC running MediaPortal for that (via HDMI or similar)
