I tried to install, but it requires media player 11. That requires WGA in order to download. My WGA did not get accepted. I only need software to record via my Haupauge card to the hard drive, reliably.
The pc is much too slow to playback HD video. I use it to get the broadcast onto the disk, then I transfer that file to another pc later for editing, recoding, etc. To watch, I simply plug the edited file via memory stick directly to my real TV set.
So, I have no use for media player 11. Is there a thinner version that can simply record what its programmed to? An epg would be nice too, but that is not needed either. I get my channel guide from several sources and my eyes scan the guide much faster than any software can. lol
I would like to try this software out, but its not going to install unless I somehow 'aquire' wmp 11 from... somewhere, even though im never going to use wmp 11.
