Sorry if inappropriate.</p><p></p><p>There is a TV program that I have set to record that will not work. Instead, it repeatedly appears to start, but then stops; ie, the red light comes on in Blue Wide for about 15 seconds, then goes back off for about 15 seconds, and the whole process repeats for the 1 hour duration of the set recording time. At no time does any actual recording show up under 'recorded tv', nor does anything show up under 'active recordings'.</p><p>Even more mysterious:</p><p>1) the same thing happens (for the same tv show) whether I try to record on a QAM channel or an analog channel.</p><p>2) I have successfully recorded TV shows immediately before and after the troublesome show on the same channel.</p><p>3) I can watch the show live on the HTPC!!!, and use the associated 'pause, rewind' (forget what its called) recording just as if the show had been recorded.</p><p>4) the show records fine on an old RCA analog only DVR.</p><p>This has been happening for three weeks now.</p><p></p><p>This is too weird to even venture a guess as to the cause, and I don't even want anyone to waste time looking at logs. </p><p>Just wondering if anyone has ever seen this behavior --???</p><p>The tv show in question is 'This Old House' on PBS - the U.S. Public Broadcasting System.</p><p></p><p>Thanks for looking.
