I am running CoreAVC with AC3 Filter & FFDShow for AC3/DTS Audio .

I have an issue with AC3 playback where the movie's sound and the picture are out of sync. The sound is ahead of the movie.

This is my 1st step in trying to get true dts passthrough to a B&K Audio Reference 50 receiver.

I'm at my wit's end with trying to get the audio and video in sync with this movie (Works fine in VLC).

Can anyone see anything I'm doing wrong?

If you just need AC3/DTS pass through then you shouldn't need AC3filter, try uninstalling that and in FFDshow config set AC3 and DTS for pass through in de Codecs page?

OK, Removed AC3 Filter, and it fixed SOME of the lag, but there's still a difference (very slight) in video/audio sync.

Also tried to play a DTS movie and the sound crackles - Movie specs:

Video : 1920*1040 @ 9710

Audio : DTS @ 1536 Kbps

It's getting there (I'm handling AC3 / DTS first), but not complete yet.

Any other ideas? I'm honestly wondering if it's a sound card issue - still have not received my new Xonar 1.3 (which was ordered Monday; should have it on this coming Monday.

Thank You for the input and the help.

Yep, I never had issues with the 349/B17 build of SAF for video, just audio. I just reinstalled that and removed the other crap for the time being.

I installed SPDIFIER and RECLOCK to see if that can help me out. This is just a pain in the ass. I'll post when I make any headway, hopefully to help others.

Well, after installing spdifier - i get proper dts/dte-ex sound, aac/ac3, etc. Just out of sync

My only issue is the sound being in sync with the video now - frustrating.

SAF 3.49 beta 17, SPDIFIER is what my setup is.

I tried Reclock, as other threads show, but when i use reclock I get no sound with DTS.

EDIT: Fix Below.

OK.... I'm working, just no DXVA.

Changed to VMR, disabled Power DVD Hardware Acceleration, uninstalled and reinstalled SAF without DXVA. Installed SPDIFIER with it added to post processing.

Get DTS/EX, everything in sync, subs work, audio/video is perfect. Now to just do some watching and make sure it stays in sync.

Seems the problems are related to DXVA / Hardware Acceleration.

Thanks all for the input, I hope this helps someone else.
