AC3 Filter not Loading. Only Stereo sound on movies with MP3 (1 Viewer)

Mee too. AC3Filter works, but to enable it in MP is a different thing. Have you actually check that AC3filter is loaded (e.g. with GraphEdit) while playing movies with mpeg 1 layer 3 sound?

No, mp3 sounds are played with standard mp3 codec from windows... Perhaps you could try ffdshow to play the mp3 codec. Sounds ok here too!

See, that's my point! I want to force DD encoding for mp3 using AC3Filter. And that's totally possible, if you build a normal graph AC3Filter is used with mp3, but I have not get this to happen in MP without the xml -file fix.

so:

avi + mp3 --> ac3filter dd encoding --> spdif out --> amplifier DD sound
avi + dd/dts --> ac3filter spdif out --> amplifier dd/dts
