AC3 music - surround sound music in my music (1 Viewer)

is it possible to play music in AC3 format in my music?

i have a few discs with surround sound music in AC3 format.
so, i added the folder to my database.
in the music configuration i added .AC3 to the list with file extensions.
then i did a database update.

but when i now go to my music i don't see it in the list.
i can't find it back in my music.

anyone now what the reason is?
how can i be able to play multichannel music in AC3 format in my music?

i also have this problem with another CD (AAC format) i added to the database.
but i cannot find it in my music. i only have this problem with this particular cd.
al my files are in the same AAC format without any problems.
i already ripped the cd again a few times to no avail.
i even formatted the HDD and reinstalles vista and mp but it still gives the same problem.
it's very weird.

i tried again. but the albums in AC3 format are not showing up in "my music".
they are not getting imported in to MP.

both AC3 and AAC shopuld show up in mymusic, when you have addded them to the extensions.
i asue your aac files have m4a as an extension. Right?

AC3 will show up only in the shares view, because there are no tags in ac3, so i can't retrieve them and store in the database.

where and how can i get to the shares view. i can't seem to find it in mp.
