- I use multimapping to control mediaportal, my TV, and my amplifier. It works great. But when I press the left/right/up/down/etc.. buttons, the amplifier/TV responds, aswell as MediaPortal.

- I would like to map new actions to the left/right/up/down/etc.. buttons. But when I set a new action for these, mediaportal responses to one click with 2 actions.

I'm sure these problems has something to do with the replacement plugin. I installed this, but should i activate this in some way?

You're using the default eHome driver, so you need to remove the replacement driver button mappings for those buttons (up/down/left/right) ... There is a button to do this in the input mapping screen in the plugin. Check the documentation if you're unsure.

Or switch to the replacement driver. Your choice.

    Cheers,

Yeah i would like to use the replacement plugin (any disadvantages to this?). But this means I have to reinstall the plugin right? Does this erase my settings? And is there any way to backup my settings?

    thx

No you're mistaking the MCE Replacement Plugin for the MCE Replacement Driver ... easy mistake, I know.

The plugin will work with either the default "eHome" driver or the Replacement driver.

When you install the plugin there is an option to copy the files for the replacement driver onto the computer at the same time. This will put them in the "Program Files\MCE Replacement Driver" folder which you can then install the replacement driver from.

The Replacement Driver just gives you the ability to remap the arrow buttons which would otherwise be hard-wired to cursor movements ... there are a couple of other buttons too, like the PC Power button (which is important for me because I don't use standby).

If you decide not to use the Replacement driver then you need to tell the plugin to remove the additional mappings that the replacement driver needs.

    Cheers,
