Hello,
i am quite new to Mediaportal, but i really like it sofar. My current problem is, i need to add a new channel to my tv list. That should be under tv setup, tv challels, add. Now i have the problem what to enter where. Its not like for most providers. In VLC I just have to play udp://@1234 how do i add that to MP?

You have to create or edit an existing *.m3u scan list.
Take a look at the ones allready installed with tv server, they're located in the following folder:
C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\TuningParameters\dvbip
