I was browsing through a development thread and noticed that it had been locked with no reason why. It would be a useful feature for the person locking the thread to be able to add a description beside the section that states 'Thread Status: Not open for further replies.' so that on browsing to any page you can see the reason why it was locked. This obviously would require the admin to write something but if it was made an optional item then it might help with posts that ask about previous threads being locked.
