[solved] Adding filter section ... Configuration freeze (1 Viewer)

Hi,

after installing 1.15.0 Pre Release I got the problem that the Configuration Tool keep freezing at "Adding filter section ..."
I already tried a full MediaPortal Product cleanup and tried to reinstall 1.14.0 but the problem is still the same

I would appreciate any suggestion to solve this problem.

Hi

Probably the problem is related to DirectShow/codecs on your system.
Please try to:

1. Use the Watchdog tool with option 3 to export your existing log files, then attach the zip file here.
2. Use FilMerit or similar to check/fix DirectShow codec registrations.

Hi,

FilMerit also didn't start up, so i decided to reinstall Windows 10. but the the problem was still there.
After few hours of searching, updating drivers etc. I finally found the course of the trouble
All i had to do was to disable the "DisplayLink Audio" in the device manager and the configuration tool and FilMerit started without any problems
