Hi achappey

I wonder what's the status on this plugin, because the screenshots look very promising...

Cheers,

Sorry guys, but the (common) problem with the less free time occurred... I did make some progress but nothing worth to release, there's even a really good skype alternative available right now btw. Will try to finish it when my jobs times will let me do so... :)

How about releasing the source code so other can help out? It could be a group project! Is your current binary available? If so, do you need to run with SVN?

Hi TImmyT, I did receive your PM. The point is that I usually only release source codes when they are well documented and very good readable for other devs, but this isn't really the case with this project.... If you don't mind reading such code I'll sent it!!

    Hi achappey

As I mentioned in my pm, I am working on a plugin that synchronizes a local database (sqlite3 format) with a Plaxo account (www.plaxo.com). For those who don't know Plaxo - Plaxo offers a service that lets you synchronize your contacts from various sources like Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird and so on...

Since I don't have too much time on my hands as well, I was hoping we could divide the work. You could complete the GUI part (your first screenshots look very nice) while I take care of the database and the setup.

What do you think of my proposition?

    Bluetooth mobile phone control ??

Hi, was just wondering what the status on the mobile phone control feature is, you posted way back in the beginning.

It would be a cool feature if you could get a overlay control displaying incoming phone calls or sms messages over bluetooth. Connecting a microphone to the htpc, so you can pick up the call would be cool (while muting the video or music being played)

Maybe a question for timmyt: how difficult would it be to addapt your plugin to just read a csv file with contacts info (export file from outlook) in stead of using plaxo to get the info from ?

I'm willing to develop on this, if I can get the right tools (e.g. bluetooth integration, which libraries?? ) I saw Wireless Dev Studio 2.0 but this is not free unfortunatly.

    cheers,
    K

    Hi Lucifer

It probably wouldn't be too difficult to import data from a csv file, but why bother? It's way easier to use plaxo... I don't see an advantage in manually export your data to csv, then import them again in MediaPortal, when you can establish the same result in just one single click!

    Cheers,
    TimmyT
