I have everything running exactly as I want it except->picture quality. I would like to make some adjustments to the decoder so that I can get a better picture quality. I am relatively sure it's on the decoder side because both live TV and DVDs both show the contouring affect you see with mpeg compression. My frame rates are great and I have no stuttering. But I want to minimize the contouring of similar colors. My picture quality was better in GBPVR than it is in MP(granted it took me a week of screwing around to get it to that point in GBPVR). I haven't found any good documentation on how to adjust the codecs for better picture quality other than the settings in the MP Setup. Are there any good docs on perhaps making some changes in graphedit or other registry tweaks or windows application? I've already done the Hauppage tweak when I was running in gbpvr, these changes helped. However it seems I have issues on the decode side now with MP and I want to know what I can do to significantly improve PQ. I want to at least match what I have now from my cable PVR.
