    Hi

Having taught myself Basic from a book way before I built my ZX80 (yep, that old:) or had any actual access to a computer, the key is find the thing you want to do (keep it base simple enough to start with) and then re-search on language to allow you to get cracking on building something.

Over years (decades:-< I've learned BASIC, Assembler, Pascal, COBOL, Fortran, PL-1 & Perl, and now, routinely I code in awk, but I've never had any success in trying to learn for learnings sake, always needed a problem to solve 1st - so probably Python next (on my Rasp Pi).

If plugin's on MePo is what gets you going, the go for it, that's one long learning curve (as in complex environment your building to) but if that's your goal, good luck and good coding.
