Hi guys,, I sold my pundit and I'm about to buy a new system, dedicated for HTPC use
.
What are your opinions about following parts:
Antec Fusion Media center (stylish and quiet for a fair price)
Asus M2A-VM HDMI (specs & features, seems to be ideal for this purpose)
Amd Athlon 64 X2 4400+ Box AM2 (cheapest AM2 dualcore in my store)
Apacer DDR2 512MB PC800 Passive (2x)
Samsung 320GB SpinPoint T166 SataII16MB (fast & quiet)
Nec DVD+/-RW AD-7173A-0S (silver) Label Flash (Sata interface, reliable brand)
I still have my Hauppauge PVR350 with remote that I will use and since I'm not a gamer I will be using the onboard graphics and sound.
In the first place it's just for the standard things:
- music (mp3 from server & cd's)
- movies (from server, dvd's and recordings from tv)
- pictures from server
- ...
.
