A year and a half later, I can report that the micro stutter still exists and changing hardware to use a Gemini Lake board results in very similar issues. I decided to have a go using Kodi and playback is fine. Also playback with MPC-HC is fine too (using the same LAV decoders and same settings).

I'm waiting for the next payday before buying a card. In the meantime, I found this feature matrix on nvidia.com - Video Encode and Decode GPU Support Matrix - showing the hardware encoding and decoding features supported by the various GPUs. Looks like the 1650 is the lowest one that ticks all the decoding columns. I do not know how...

Hi,
I know this is an old thread, but has anything come of this? I can't find anything so I'm guessing no. I'd love to see MP be able to be a cast source or receiver. Mostly source.
Thanks!

Hi
Of course, the error message appears when the cable is connected and I turn off the PC. When I restart, it's not a problem.
Also There is no problem when the cable is unplugged.
Do this method (Plug and unplug) and the existence of this error do not harm the PC?

Remotes and TV Cards are two very different things, though some TV Cards manufacturer did provide built-in remote receiver they are often tricky to get working with your applications.
I would recommend to get a TV card without a built-in receiver together with a remote receiver from Inteset.
For the remote itself I'm using various...

In December 2017 I acquired a Palit GeForce GTX 1080 DUAL OC for €529 on Alternate.de. It seems it has a similar board layout and I was able to apply the same modifications. However it would probably greatly benefit from an after market heat-sink. Palit did again a good job at providing a minimalist product which can be easily...

hi,
I currently use media portal as my TV server, feeding a KODI client on an Amazon FireTV box, which works well.
However, my existing PC is very old and is starting to cause problems, so I want to replace it.

Here is a review of that Venset TS700A TV Lift equipped with IR remote and Bracket TS700.
I was looking for a TV lift solution mostly for more flexibility and better quality when enjoying passive 3D content.
In fact my Philips TV 55PUK7150/12 has quite a narrow vertical angle for optimal 3D quality.
That's notably an issue while...

Considering the poor quality of the TPVision's Philips branded TVs I'll definitely consider getting another brand next time and adding an ambient light solution to it.

But it is still acceptable :)

Pulse-Eight USB - CEC adapter is a great little piece of hardware allowing you to take advantage of the whole HDMI CEC feature set depending on the TV you are using.

Besides being more expensive? ;) Yes and no, but it's more a statistical thig with higher MBTF and data volume figures. Compare green and red certified figures and you will see that red will give you higher numbers. However, green is still pefectly in line with a normal user's requirements. So unless you don't operate an internet...

Shame Philips never bothered fixing that. I made macros now on my Harmony to handle the switch until Auto3D gets fixed.

Just to comoplicate things ive actually just taken a look at the Sony Bravia range and theyre not as expensive as i thought they would be
The Sony 50W829 comes in at the same price with similar specs, but you get a whole extra 2" of screen. The reviews for it are outstanding as well.
Cant decide!
