Hi all,
I am new to this forum but i am very interested in building my own htpc.
Here is my setup:
Case: Antec ISK 300-65
Motherboard: ASUS E35M1-I Deluxe
Memory: Kingston ValueRAM DIMM 4 GB DDR3-1066
System Disk: OCZ Vertex2 E 2,5" SSD 60 GB (SATA 300)
Data disk: Samsung HM641JI 640 GB (SATA 300)
TV-tuner: TBS 6981 PCI-E DVB-S2 Dual Tuner TV card
DVD/BD ROM: This needs to ba a slimline drive. I still dont know which one to choose (any advice?)
Remote Control: Logitech Harmony 300 + RC6 IR-Receiver
What I would like to do with this system is...
What is you opinion, will this system be able do what I want i to do?
I would be happy if anyone with some experience could check if this will work out.

What I would like to do with this system is...
- watch tv live and in timeshift
- record tv and watch recorded films
- watch dvd/bd
- watch locally stored films (divx, xvid, mpeg2/4, mkv, h.264 up to 1080p)
- listen to locally stored music (mp3, wav)
- watch media from the internet, especially german ZDF/ARD/ARTE Mediathek
- listen to internet radio
What is you opinion, will this system be able do what I want i to do?
I would be happy if anyone with some experience could check if this will work out.
