Hello, I am new to MP (0.2.3 + xface 1.4).
I actually assembled my HTPC in April '07 and then substantially modified it to support Blu-ray a couple months later. I have been using GBPVR because I can stream divx/xvid files to a MediaMVP upstairs. While I continue to use GBPVR, I needed a solution to limit channel access on the MediaMVP (young kids) and tried a variety of apps to compliment GBPVR. I found and settled on MP just a couple of weeks ago. My HTPC runs both GBPVR & MP.
Details of my HTPC can be found at http://kimnach.org/computers/x86/HTPC.html. (the page is not up to date.)
A summary:
Ahanix MCE-701
Asus P5W DH Deluxe + E6600 core2
2GB Ram
Blu-ray drive
Hauppauge PVR-500
BFG 8800GT video
80GB + 230GB internal + 750GB external (esata) drives.
XP Home
Although I've only recently started using it, I'm quite pleased with MP.
