I too would love this view for DVDs. You can try the Spinsafe Skin. It has something like this. Maybe you could ask the one who made the skin how he had done it?

OK... since a new version is coming up, I am *bump*-ing me request.

Movies:
[IMDB cover] --------- [Movie name]

I'd like to see:
Movies:
[IMDB] --------- [Movie name]
[cover] --------- [Movie rating]
generally any new movies i "get hold of" are watched based on the info from the imdb screen in this order: poster -> plot -> rating

That's yet another reason to implement this view type in other MP-areas!

It probably isn't very hard, as the view-type is already there - probably just "copy 'n paste"?

Seems to be a overwhelming majority (88.5 %) that would like to see this implemented inn all plugins.

I think the radio:

[ [ LOGO ] -------------------- [NAME] ]

... and picture part

[ [Thumb] -------------------- [Date] ]

... as well as movies

[ [Thumb] ------------ [Name] [IMDB rating] ]

would be pleasant for WAF and usability in general.

Well, three designers want this feature, so I guess that has to count for something?

I've been hoping for this to be implemented too. It would tie in all the plugins and make MP more uniform and consistent. Also wanted the "info" shortcuts to be standardised across the plugins. eg when you press F3 in music, movies or pictures you get mp3 tag OSD, movie description or EXIF tag OSD repectively. All in the name of consitency and make the Mp package feel "as one".

Does anyone know how to manually make this chnage seeing as no-one seems to want to implement it in a svn release. I dont see why it cant be in an svn release as its not really a "new" feature, its just one that already exists.

Sorry mate, i'm nearly new to Media Portal, i'm trying to get everything clear but i need a bit of time ^^;
I was looking to the old topic named "My Music - need your thoughts on how to improve and enhance" and i saw a really nice view that was requested.

This is the screenshot:

(just some modification to let it more clear how i would like to see it)

What is not clear to me (specially because that topic was really old) is if it was something i could obtain by the modification of database indexing as explained here, or if it was still a request never implemented or to be yet implemented (and i would really love it)

Long story short: it's already available? If not, is it what you're asking for?
If it's available, what exactlly should i do to have it available (and then, sorry for the offtopic of this question)?
