Albums shown multiple times (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I am using version 1.2 Beta.

I have troubles with creating a view where I would like to display albums.
Whenever there is more than one artist in the album, the album cover is displayed several times...instead of just one time.
I want MP to ignore the multiple artist and just concentrate on the Album Name.

How can I do this?

It is not clear what you are trying to do.

Why is the default album view not sufficient?

Can you post a screenshot of the view you are attempting to build

Thank you for the quick reply...
Of course I can upload a screenshot... here for example American Pie OST...

They all have the same Album Name - no Album Artist - but different Artists for the songs.

I see several covers ... one cover -> one song

I just want to have one cover/folder which contains all songs from all different artists.

You need to have an album artist populated. For compilations I set this to Various Artists.

This is needed because for example I may have a "Greatest Hits" album by 10 different bands. If we do not consider album and album artist these would get grouped into one album.

I agree for something like "Greatest Hits" that is really not working well...
But in my case when you only have one Album called "American Pie OST" it would perfectly work...

It would just be nice to be given the option to do it this way...(I am used to it by my MP3-Player)
It wouldn't work for things like "Best of"and "Greatest Hits" - but in these cases I would know the Artist...and I would choose another view to look the correct album up...

Seems like I have to update all my albums which fall into this category with "Various Artists" as "AlbumArtist" then....

Can never quite remember how this works but if you albums are ordered into folders then try the "treat tracks in an individual folder as an album" option on the music database screen and re-import everything.
