im new to media portal... a buddy just showed it to me, so i had to try it! it all went well except the tv? i have an all in wonder video card and it says "unable to create graph" when i try to start it. so i installed a cheap tuner card and it didnt work either, same thing?
is this a common issue by chance?
mp is a really cool program, i like it! now if i can get it to work...

i did do a search and nothing came back? id have to think someone else has asked this question?

Agreed. You need to see if your card is compatible. There are many different 'all in wonder' cards, so we need to know which one you have. Same goes for your 'cheap tuner card'. Analog/digital? Make and model?

Does TV setup work? Does it detect your card and tune it?

    More information needed!

the software for the all in wonder works fine, ive about given up on making mp run the tv. been bangin my head on it for days now.

    this is the cheap card.

It may be possible to get a software encoding analog card working in MP, but in my opinion it is not worth the effort. Get a hardware encoding analog tv card. Cards with hardware encoding are a bit more expensive, but they work and don't consume a lot of cpu cycles. A software based card can imo only be used for those who need a card to watch live TV on rare occasions (and please don't use MP for that).
