Hey guys

I have an issue that just started after upgrading to MP 1.2.2 and the new Moving Pictures version. My All Movies list will not populate anything. If I check the genres or recently added movies sections they both have movies listed and are able to play those movies with no problems. When I run the config and look at the categories section I can see all the movies listed under the 'All Movies' heading.

I can grab some logs if you need them and post them up.

Thanks in advance.

It could be that your categories got corrupt.

Open MovingPictures config, switch to "GUI Settings" tab, click on the "Define Categories" button and you will see all your entries. If you did not create any custom ones, then the easiest way is to just delete all the ones you see, close MovPic config, and re-open them. They are then re-created and all should be well.

You can use the [+] before "All Movies" to see what movies are caught by the filter. The default entry for "All Movies" is nothing, meaning no filter, no include and no exclude entries. This would then show 'All', so if you see any of those then removing their entries might also fix it. That would be the way to go about it if you have a lot of custom categories as there is no easy way currently to export/import them.

so I deleted all the categories and let them rebuild themselves, no luck. when I go in and view the 'All Movies' list I still don't get anything. The recently added still works as does genres as before. I have no custom categories created at this point. I will include a screen shot of the all movies pages after you access it.

ok i'm coming back to this issue only slightly different. I found a work around for the last issue by making a custom category. Just recently I have found that only my "All Movies" list shows up. none of the other default category's are present. If I go in and delete the All Movies cat, close and open MovPics configuration, it populates all the default category's. Now I close down the config and head into mediaportal -> moving pics. Only the "All Movies" shows up, if I go back into the configuration, all of the default category's are gone and only this broken All Movies remains.

pic to show what it looks like., you will notice the yellow warning symbol in front of the all movies, i'm not sure what that is indicating but it has to be bad in some way.
