Hello,

I am trying to import french movies with the help of the allocine scrapping engine but to no avail. I have put the movie importer in debug mode in the hope I would get more information but I can't find the log file in any place (even did a complete scan of my hd !). Did I miss something?

PS: I'm using MP 1.0 / MovingPicture 0.7.0 on an XP SP3 system

EDIT: sorry, forgot to mention that everything works fine when I'm using the Imdb importer. The problem appears when I put allocine.fr first in the list of movie importers. Nothing happens then.

Sorry my XP machine is tied up right now (the kids are watching a movie using the new build). From memory, the path is something like this:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\log\movingpictures.log

Edit: yes that's correct, I just confirmed. And the reason it didn't come up in your search is probably because some of the folders in that chain are hidden.

I went already there and found nothing (H:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\log) ! This is the reason why I am really wondering how this file is generated.

I am also trying to find the scrap script but I can't find it. Is it pre-compiled in the DLL ?

It looks like the allocine script is broken right now. I will look at creating an update. Sorry about that.

Ok, this explains that. Any chance I can help? I find this plugin absolutely awsome, having it with French film details would be the cherry on the cake ;-)

Hello,

Very nice plugin !! I love it. :D
Unfortunately, I can't get any cover with allocine script.
Is there a way to fix this or modify the script to get info from allocine and cover from another website ?

thanx for your help and once more excellent work.
sincerly,

The allocine script is a little tricky because it doesn't provide an IMDb ID so some of the cover-art grabbers do not work as well. It is a little drawn out, but one option is to initially import your collection via IMDb, and then refresh details from allocine from the movie manager. This would mean that IMDb would fill in any missing movie details and you would get full artwork and backdrops for everything. If this is unclear let me know and I can explain better.
