Altering the counter? (1 Viewer)

So I'm quite happy with MP currently except for a few details, I have howerever been wondering about what the purpose of the counter displayed at the most screens with a lot of items (music library for example).

I reckon it's a page count?

Any option to change it to an actual item count? If I'm viewing files belonging to a certain album, I'd rather have a filecount than 1/2 displayed.

So it'd be "current file marked/count of files" would seem more logical to me

If it's what I think you mean (lower right corner) then it's the number of pages.
In your example of 1/2 it's two pages of files and you are in page 1.

Yeah that's the one.

I want to change it to a filecount, can't really use pagecount for anything remotely practical. Would this be a hard fix?

It comes with the 'spin'. If you click the arrows next to it it with your mouse/remote it takes you to the next page, instead of pressing page down/up on your remote/keyboard.

You can edit it away yourself and add a filecounter in the respective skin file(s).

To be honest, page up/down on my remote seems a hell of a lot faster than using the "spin"

Well the spin's command is spinposx and spinposy, if you just set one of them too a place outside the screen it would disappear in theory. The command for showing a file counter I cant remember, but a good tip is to actually locate a screen within MP that has the file counter, and the search in the respective skin file.

If I get some time tomorrow I can try and find the command for you.
