All was working lovely, ffdshow for "normal" video and PowerDVD 8 for HD. Then it stopped. I think possibly it was the installation of a PowerDVD patch that did it. Can't be sure though.</p><p></p><p>Now I have these issues :</p><p></p><p>1. PowerDVD 8 codec doesn't appear in the drop down list for H.264 codec choice.</p><p></p><p>2. If I choose PowerDVD 8 for MPEG2 playback then MP still uses ffdshow.</p><p></p><p>I've tried uninstalling and re-installing PowerDVD and I've upgraded ATI Catalyst from 9.7 to 9.8.</p><p></p><p>Thanks.</p><p></p><p>Bob.</p></blockquote><p></p>
