Yes, start by installing only the bare minimum of drivers. Then make a system restore point and install Twinhan DTV (the WDM drivers and software). Verify that it works without stuttering. Now install the AMD CPU driver and enable CnQ(Minimal Power Management profile), use the AMD dashboard demo or similar to verify that the CPU speed is dynamic. Now try to run Twinhans DTV software. If you get stuttering there you definetly have the same problem as me.


When you want to install MP, revert to your system restore point, and install the stuff necessary for MediaPortal (BDA drivers, .NET etc) as well as media portal itself. Then you can test it again, remember you can disable CnQ by changing the power profile away from "Minimal Power Management".


EDIT:

One more thing, each time you install a new driver, or codec, make a system restore point just before. I normally dont use system restore, but its a good idea to use it when installing things on a HTPC.
