I’ve got a Hauppauge Win TV-HVR-1100 TV card that works fine with the Hauppauge software with Windows XP. It’s a hybrid card, suitable for both digital and analog, and I use it solely for receiving analog via an aerial as I can’t currently receive digital in my area.

I decided to download and install MediaPortal a couple of days ago to see what it was like, and everything seems fine except for the TV and Radio.

My TV card is recognised by the Setup Wizard TV pages, but it appears to be recognised solely as a digital card. It says at the top of the page "Setup Digital TV (DVB-T Terrestial)", and the wizard only gives me options of downloading digital channels. There doesn't appear to be a way of me downloading analog.

Am I missing something?

How can I get MediaPortal to recognise my card as an analog one so that I can download analog channels?

You will need to set up the analog side.

Follow the wiki on how to add a new card. Set up the WDM filters instead of the BDA filters.

Did you make it work? I have read now for hours and tried to have my Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1100 to work. It is supported and should work...but i can not make it to choose tha analogue part at all? Everytime i start setup...it sais digital blabla..
I hade only analogue connection and want to be able to run channels under MP.

Totaly lost on this....please somebody help me...
