Enough android apps of course, but isn't the point of a remote control to control things remotely? Following your line of thought: there are enough apps to listen to MP3's, FLAC's etc on your android device, so why bother? (I myself use Ampache + amdroid, works great)The point is: I like to listen to the radio on my HTPC, because in comparison the android sound sucks and having a way of doing that without switching on my TV would be just perfect and probably way faster. Same goes for listening to my musicfiles.
