Hi favian,

if anything an option to have a completely stripped down version of MP (like the way it is now) that runs quick on older pcs. But an optional version of MP with lots of great snazzy visuals and animations would be ideal for HTPC that sit in the living room.

Nice idea. Really great would be some sort of speed options in the setup. Like in games: turn filtering on / off, set settings for a fast or a slow system. Since MP works with DX rendering i think something like that could be possible.

But thats the future! There a still some bugs to be solved.

unfortunately i have no programming knowledge & experience. Otherwise i'd spend long nights creating plugins & features. But the best i can do unfortunately, is just churn out ideas that will leave competitors in the dust.. But i agree with your post. An option to turn off efects/animations is hard to argue against.
