I can confirm, again and again.....It should be added in Mantis.

As I've no better idea, I suggest to have an option to hide messages from CAM during some secs after channel change....:(

It's CAM related ( Check your rights, Audio is scrambled, Video is scrambled.... ) despite the fact the CAM works properly.

one (not very good) way could be to disable ci menu feature completly, if you select AstonCAM type in tv server config.

Could it be possible to hide "spurious" messages and keep CI menu ?

you can't know in advance what the CAM likes to tell you. It does callbacks after you opened the ci menu, made a choice or a close menu call.

this can't be filtered, if it's "unrequested" or interactive

Unless somebody have a better idea, could you add an option to disable CAM menu. It's generally useless.

Additionaly ( at leaast with Aston CAM ), if you switch on a scrambled ( with no rights ) channel, there is no message from the CAM., only black screen / no timeshifting message ;)

Sounds like an only option, as who knows if some new revision of AstonCAM is working better :)

an (difficult) option would be to "fix" the AstonCAM decoding, like getting into contact with the vendor/support.

maybe our patching of PMT is invalid/not enough: it could be that other stream pids need some special patching also.

Re: AW: Annoying CI OSD asking continuously for Rights Check

I was in contact with them ( Aston, french people it was easy ;) ) about the dual AC3 descrambling issue, the problem is the provider ( *** ) do not allow to descramble their programs in Mediaguard 2 or 3 out of their decoders....
The provider allow to descramble their programs in Viaccess ( this exclude HD programs that are only available with Mediaguard ), you've have to rent their box and HD option...and pay CAM+PC to use MP :D

So, I think there is no solution in this way, and I'm quite sure,in the future, there will be no way to watch ( *** ) without their decoders ( If this occurs, I'll stop to pay, no more CAM message issue ;) )

Globally, it's a first power-on/wake-up issue, after first channel tune there is no problem, and now, as the CI window is not crashing, "OK" is enough.

Best ( easiest ) way, is to have an option to disable messages/menu.

Ambass: If you see my logging you can see a have it sometimes many times switching from channel to channel. Maybe it is after switching on, but you can check logs.
Option to disable CI menu would be sufficient.
