Annoying clicking sound from receiver (1 Viewer)

Hello

I have got a weird problem.
My htpc running windows 7 is connected to the receiver via spdif which is working fine.The receiver shows me the pcm signal, but as soon as i for example change a folder in windows or change folders in mediaportal, i can hear a very annoying clicking sound coming from my receiver and i can see the signal is dropping out for a second and then coming back again.
The same thing happened also with my old receiver(Yammy 463) but without this annoying clicking sound.
I tried disabling all the sounds in mediaportal already but the clicking sound when is still there when i am changing folders.
Never had this problem on XP.

I have looked anywhere over the net but cannot find a solution to my problem.
Does anyone have and idea how i can stop this clicking sound? DO i have to change some settings on the receiver so this clicking can be supressed ?

Have the same here, seems the recever get´s somekind of soundsignal from doing stuff in mediaportal, should´nt be so if there is no sound changing menues and so on.

I'd focus on your sound drivers and configuration. I'm using SPDIF over HDMI to my Onkyo and have my Win7 sound driver set to pass DD, DTS, etc and use nearly any of the MediaPortal audio codecs assigned as SPDIF to external receiver. And, I use default (is it directshow) sound renderer as well inside MP. I am NOT using any Dolby-live encoding options available on my mobo either.

Exactly were do I asign SPDIF over HDMI and so on?

That depends. Please populate your MySystem UserCP to identify your configuration. As I said, I'm running Win-7 and it's selectible under Control Panel/Sounds when I have my HDMI connected to the PC
