......I Feel like such a Fool!!!!....

Persevered with the Firewall/Antivirus thing....they were certainly getting in the way of the install..
So....Hey Presto.....up and running again!..

Also found Firewall setting in the Wiki
(http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_...ed/11_Preparing_Your_System/Firewall_Settings)
....and pasted these into an elevated command....and now things are moving.
