As for my remote problems, As far as media portal knows I don't use a remote anymore. In the iMON drivers you can program IR signals from your MCE Remote (In my case a Harmony programed with MCE buttons) to be transmitted as keyboard commands to any desired .exe file you want, in this case Media Portal! The response time issue is fixed and I now have a remote that is very easily customizable! Although, it tends to get tricky remembering what Harmony button is assigned to what MCE button, and then what MCE button is assigned to what keyboard command, and then what keyboard command is assigned to what shortcut. As a side note I got the 0-9 buttons programed this way and they work well with typing (texting) or entering numbers, I've never had this working before. In my scenario, the front LCD on the Antec case displays whatever is programmed into iMON. As of now I don't have anything besides the date and time showing and I might just leave it with that. I could have it also display what IR signals it is receiving to make it easier to setup and debug. At one point I had ALL my audio/video files playing back perfectly, but I reformatted and now my x264 movies which have mutli-channel AAC audio are only playing back in stereo. Also, I can't get hardware acceleration to work on x264 files (720p and 1080p). Hope this information helps someone.
