I have been seeing an issue with my Hauppauge 2250 tuner cards and Mediaportal.

I have noticed the following when watching a video, movie, or a recorded show with MP while a show in being recorded in the back ground. If I am watching something on MP it glitches up for a second or two when a show begins recording and also when it ends recording. Has anyone else seen this problem?

I am running Windows 7 64bit
Fresh install of MP 1.6
Hauppauge 27323 Drivers and have tried the newest drivers with the same results

I appreciate any help and solution to this annoying problem

Hi ShadowB123,

Please check your TV Server Config > DVB EPG and see if 'EPG grabbing while timeshifting/recording' is checked. If so > please uncheck and test again.
If this option is not checked, please provide us with full debug logs. You can use the WatchDog to collect those, while reproducing the issue.

Just to reiterate what Jeroen said: check the DVB EPG grabber. You don't need it to be enabled as it won't give you EPG data.

The other thing I wondered about...
What is your recording directory configuration and where are the videos/movies/recorded shows stored? Same HDD? NAS?
Just wondering if an HDD is spinning up or down or something...
