Anyone got WinTV-HVR-1100 Hybrid (1 Viewer)

I have the WinTV-HVR-1100 Hybrid card. Unfortunately i am VERY new to this TV card thing and i wanna know what Hybrid actually is? Can anyone tell me??
Also if anyone else has this card can you recommend any good software to use with it or any tips/tricks?

    A hybrid card means it can tune both analogue and digital frequencies. You can get other cards which have analogue inputs but cant only tune into the video input.
