Anyone Happy w/ ATI wonder or other RF remote? (1 Viewer)

I have been struggling with this remote thing, and recently stumbled upon Angry's very well written Remote Wonder plugin. The functionality with Media Portal and the programibility of the buttons is fantastic, thanks!

But - the remote just seems to suck in general. It seems to frequently misinterpret signals (especially if holding down a button or pressing it very quickly over and over), causing me to open another menu or end up elsewhere in MP. Sometimes it just doesn't seem to receive any remote signals for short periods. and other times it stops working (red light on remote note even coming on) for a period.

I love the idea of the RF remote, and I like the layout feel of this remote. Should I just try another Remote Wonder, maybe this one is a dud. Anyone been happy with Wonder Plus or Wonder II? Any other RF remotes people are really happy with?

Tired of opening my laptop with VNC to control my Media Centre!!!!

No more ATI Remote Wonder. Last night I threw it at the coffee table in a fit of rage after it once again exited me from Mediaportal when I was just using the down arrow and now it is in many pieces. That's what happens to things that annoy me - I destroy them.

An ATI Wonder Plus is on its way - hopefully with better luck this time.

I have a RW II that I'm very happy with. It uses a separate plugin.

I have an ATI Remote Wonder. And I think it's great for it's price. However I did have major problems at the beginning with signals not reaching the receiver. But ever since I changed the remote ID everything has worked great, now I can be on the other side of the apartment and still get response.
