Anyone help me out?, as I updated to the new version (2.3 from 2.2 using MP RC3) and get a strange messege....

Dodgy orange background:

The currently selected skin is outdated.

This will cause problems when using MP!

(Do NOT file bugreports unsing this skin)

Ignore and try
<<button

Though when I click on the button as listed above, it starts and works fine. Very annoying to have to do that everytime I start up the program though :(

Any ideas what I am doing wrong, or how I can fix this

Thanks

The message indicates that you are using a skin that was created for an older version of MP.

What version of MP are you using and what skin are you using? Make sure the skin is updated for the MP version you use.

    Just found the solution,

Had to change the referances.xml file from

    <version>0.9.3.0</version>
    to:
    <version>0.9.2.0</version>

    And voila, problem solved :)

    Thanks anyway

Yes that will avoid the message. But the skin files are not for RC3, you may see some problems.

From the thread that you are posting in I assume you use monochrome. The latest version IS a release for RC3 as far as I can tell. Maybe you need to download the latest version fo the skin.

It is monochrome and is definately the latest version (2.3), as I downloaded i t from here this afternoon.

I haven't seen any abnormalaties so far, but then I only use media portal for movies at the moment as I can't find a guide for watching/recording tv via s-video (that I understand anyway :) )

I just installed the new version and get the same behavior. Monochrome 2.3 on RC3.

Funny, that didn't fix mine. I upgraded to RC4 and got the same red messagebox. However, now it times out and will continue and also had a checkbox to not show this message in the future. I checked that and everything seems just fine.

Release 2.4 includes thi in the readme:

If you are not using MediaPortal RC4:

Open References.xml and change the line <version>0.9.4.0</version> to match the version number (of the Blue Two or Blue Three skin) you see in your MediaPortal Configuration->General->Skin screen.
