Hello All,
Not sure if this the correct forum for this email, but I think that my problem may be codec related.
I have just purchased Sony's Vegas Movie Studio Platinum Pro 9 so that I can handle the AVCHD files my video camera makes.
I decided to see how this software would go with my TV recording from MediaPortal (Would make a good editing platform for my recordings). However whenever I import on of my recorded TV .TS files, Vegas shows that the file has no Audio track (channels)???
I can import AVIs, .m2ts etc and they all import with the video and audio channels, and the problem seems restricted to the MP recorded .TS files. My understanding is that the audio in the transport stream file is encoded in plain old mp2, so I can't understand why movie studio is having this problem
I haven't tried recording in straight MPEG in MP yet, as I like all of the episode details etc that the .TS format allows you to keep.
The stange thing is that other players such as MP, VLC windows media player have no problems playing both the video and audio of these .TS files.
Can anyone out there confirm that they can import and play their .TS files in Vegas MS Plat 9? If so can you tell me what the secret fix is to get this to work?
Thanks,
Pete.
