Sony Mobiles have built in HID profiles for Bluetooth.

This means that you can use your mobile to control MP via the native MP HID support.

It's not really very practical.  It's mostly good for winning wars over who gets the remote or if the remote is out of reach and you are feeling lazy.

This is mostly due to the way Sony sets up the mobile buttons for control.
