I'm not sure if it's already been mentioned, but Sony Ericsson provide free software to allow people with Sony Ericsson phones make custom HIDs for their mobiles.

The software if very simple to use.  I made one for TV control from my mobile.  All you need to do is map the phone keypress onto the appropriate keyboard keypress
