Attached the xml for PureVisionHD 1080 together with some sreenshots.
As you can see from the xml, I´d like to do some animation regarding the scrolling text, so that it apears after approx. 8 seconds, so the user can first look at the complete image, and then the text appears.
Obviously it is not possible to add these general controls, as well as a defined background - the plugin still falls back to the standard background defined in skin
Hopefully these two issues can be fixed

Hi,
last update works fine here.
IMO it would be fine when the information only apears by pushing ENTER or the INFO-button.
And I would suggest that the info-text box could be much bigger to make the text static instead of scrolling. Scrolling text is always hard to read, I think...

Hehehe, Mission completed:
Added the button to show text.
If the button has focus (down on keyboard/remote or hover with mouse), the text is shown.
Unfocus the button with down on keyboard/remote or move mouse away - text disappears
So for @jmbillings nothing more to do at all - plugin is perfect now

Nice job, I've just pushed through an update with new skin files based on your design! I'm not including the xml for your skin in the plugin, figuring you'll include it with your own skin download? Happy to add it in the next update.

I'd still like to fix the background going to black on first running it (instead of the leftover skin bg) as it looks untidy, so that's the next job.

Actually, apod itself is down (http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/archivepix.html) - has been for a week or so. I think it's related to the US Government shutdown as it went offline about the same time
