Are there parental controls in Media Portal (for My Videos)? (2 Viewers)

Maybe it's something I'm overlooking.

I can set the movie rating in the database for each movie but I can't seem to find where I tell MP whats allowable to watch and what isnt allowable w/o a pin.

This is the single thing thats holding me back from dropping MCE and moving to MP. Ive got MP running on my test box and configured exactly how I want it. There has to be some sort of parental controls on an application thats a media server.

Any ideas?

Ive got 4 HD's each with roughly 80 DVD's on them. The DVD's are each in a separate folder.

D:/310 to Yuma/Video_TS
D:/300/Video_TS
D:/30 Days of Nights/Video_TS


Do I need to add a pin to each DVD folder that is rated PG-13 or higher? Once a pin is set, will it prompt for that pin before playing the movie or will it just refuse to show the movie listed until a pin is entered?

Ideally this would function like MCE and all the movies would be listed but when one is selected that is rated PG-13 or higher, it prompts for a pin before you can play it.

I have a similar question.

I would prefer not to PIN my movie files, rather, dedicate a simple client in the grandkids playroom to JUST play the age appropriate movies. The main client in the living room would have parental consent required to operate at all. Is there a way to dictate, within "MediaPortal Configuration" on the kid friendly client, which files can be shown? ... A group or playlist... that the kids can't "accidentally" change? And make available only functions for selection and viewing (maybe a "Kid-Safe Skin").

I would like to limit the TV programming in the playroom to only the age appropriate channels as well (but I believe that can be accomplished in the TV set-up prefs)

I think, as we all get older and our life situations change, features like this will be greatly appreciated.
