Hi there

apologies for the stupid question (bit of a newbie)

I have my system all up and running with Moving Pictures looking after my movies just as I want.

However, I now want to import about 100 or so football matches I have ripped from DVD, but keep them separate from MovingPictures.

Therefore I was wondering if I could import these using the standard Video feature of MediaPortal and this would keep them separate?

Are they two completely separate entities? i.e. if I clear the old stuff out of the 'Videos' database and then import the football matches in there then I could use the 'Video' feature to scroll through these and the Moving Pictures side of things would remain untouched?

Or is there a better way to do this?

Many thanks.

AW: Are Video and Moving Pictures DB's linked?

short answer: yes.
Both databases are seperated and you can manage your football games in myvideo without "seeing" them in moving pictures

Thanks guys. Went for the 'Videos' option rather than the TV Series in the end. I already use the TV series for TV shows and I wanted the football stuff to be completely separate.

Not as many options as using Moving Pictures (no summary details etc) as I cant match my games with IMDB obviously, but displays the filename and I can put them into sections etc, so does the job.

Thanks.

oh and while we are on the subject... I am using the StreamedMP skin and created a specific black homebutton for a football menu to tie in with the theme of the others.

If anyone wants it I have attached it.
