Hello,

This issue is seriously driving me nuts, I had Mediaportal RC1 installed and the remote working perfectly, and out of nowhere the arrow keys and the OK button stopped working. I thought some files had gone corrupted or something, though I just formatted my HTPC and installed RC2, and the same problem still occurs, I noticed that in the remote setup that the arrow keys and OK aren't mapped, Why?

Anyone have any idea how to get this working, its really frustrating.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Ps. the remote is not broken, as it correctly sends the signal to the IR receiver, and the IR receiver blinks to confirm its receing signal. Though mediaportal decides to ignore it.

Ping: same issue. Just installed MediaPortal RC3, same problem. the Arrow and okay buttons on the MCE remote and keyboard do not function. I see no mapping for them either, so I assume they have fixed functions. I know they work because I've used them with XP MC and XBMC+EventGhost.

Could you provide more info, please?

    - MCE remote activated in config -> remotes?
    - Using IR Server Suite?
    - Standard MCE remote w/eHome/SDK receiver?

Thanks for the quick reply Sprag..

    - MCE remote activated in config -> remotes?
    Yes.

    - Using IR Server Suite?
I noticed it had been installed, but I did not perform any configuration and I'm not sure it's running (does it install a service?) Do I need to alter mappings in IR suite? Curious that all other buttons, including functional buttons like My Music, My Pictures, etc on the MCE keyboard are mapped and perform correctly in MP, but just the arrow buttons do not work. I have to use standard cursor functions on keyboard instead.

    - Standard MCE remote w/eHome/SDK receiver?
Yes, this is a MS MCE USB remote and receiver, RC6

    Same problem for me
But in the MP configuration, if I choose the Sceneo remote, arrows and ok buttons work fine... but not the others ! argh

I'll try tonight to change the MCE xml file and add corrects line of the centerea xml. I expect it would be fine ...

Do the arrow buttons work within Windows, for instance whilst writing this if i press left\right arrow buttons it scrolls along the text.

If not then go into Device Manager, under the usb setting uninstall ehome infrared receiver, then unplug the receiver from your usb port, wait 30 seconds and plug back in, should reinstall and now work.
