artist view - dont show if less than x songs (1 Viewer)

i personally have lots 'various artists' albums and this totally clutters my artist view

so id like to see a feature to not show artist that have x or less songs in the artist view

or artists that dont have x or more songs in a single album

ie. neither of these
Artist1 - song1 - album1
Artist1 - song2 - album2

would not show up in the artist view

I also support this and had suggested it once before, but for album view.
As I try to retag all "Best of" albums songs to the original albums, I have a lot of albums with a single track. Same situation apllies to a lot of charts songs. So, I´d like a view for albums with a minimum of x songs to better get hold of my full albums.

That's what AlbumArtist is for.
Tag all your Charts, Bilboard, etc. Sampler with an AlbumArtist and use that view.
An Artist, which is only part of compilations, will only show up under the AlbumArtist.
If you want to see songs of a particular artist, even if he has only 1 song, then you use the Artist View.

The term AlbumArtist comes from WMP.
Sometimes it is called Band/Orchestra, Original Artist.
it depends on the Tag Editor used.

i'd like to see such a feature too.
right at the moment i'm retagging my mp3 collection so i will try the albumArtist tagstyle. i'm currently using musicBrainz picard. great piece of software but i didn't find any albumArtists tag field option. can you recommend any other tool to tag files with albumArtist field?

I use id3-tagit. You can set the AlbumArtist (Band/Orchestra) in the detailed description of the tags.
Also "The Godfather" allows it and i think also Tag & Rename, tough i don't use it.

BTW: MusicBrainz Picard has an AlbumArtist field. Look at the details of one of your tagged songs
