ASRock ION - Novoton CIR (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I am currently using IR Server Suite - Test Build 1.4.2.3281 but cannot get my MCE remote working on my ASRock ION 330HT-bd (Windows7). The machine has integrated IR and uses the Novoton W836x7HG CIR drivers.
However I just cant get IRSS to work with the integrated IR.

I can attach a USB IR receiver and IRSS will work happily but I really need it to work with the integrated IR, is anyonew else working with these machines?

I have been searching on other threads and there seems to be a similar problem with event ghost(EventGhost • View topic - Asrock ION 330HT), there are suggested solutions on the eventghost thread but they do not seem applicaple to IRSS.

Any help at all is greatly appreciated as I am at a complete loss after seaching for an answer for days.

I am still struggling with this one.

I have contacted ASRock about the issue and they have given me some infoemation back:

Our Nettop IR receives via LPC interface from super IO, not via USB.
Because of this, our IR receive can power on our system from S5.
Other 3rd party IR receivers can not do this.

If the IR receives via super IO circuit, according to Microsoft definition, it can not manipulate the Registry.
This definition is made by Microsoft, not Asrock.

Does this give any clues as to why IRss seems incompatible with this internal ir?
