Hello
Did you manage to find out what the problem is I am have exactly the same problem.
I have tried re-installing the card a couple of times but to no avail. I've tried using two different drivers also.
In the device manager it is listed but when you look at the properties it only mentions sounds.

Can some one please help
Cheers
Chris

Yes i got Mediaportal to find my card.
But no sound and stutturing picture is the result.

You can try to edit the CaptureCardDefinitions.xml
and find the line stating

capturecard commercialname="Asus My Cinema-P7131 Dual (Analogue)" capturename="713x BDA Analog Capture" devid="ven_1131&dev_7133&subsys_48621043&rev_d0"

and change the last pice to

capturecard commercialname="Asus My Cinema-P7131 Dual (Analogue)" capturename="713x BDA Analog Capture" devid="ven_1131&dev_7133&subsys_48621043&rev_d1"

That did the trick for me

Thanks I will give that a go tonight.
Do you know what it should say in the device manager? It does show the capturecard but only seems to mention sounds nothing about pictures and there is a legacy capture card listed now should that be there?
Sorry for all the questions im new to this.
I love media portal just want to get this card to work.

Cheers
Chris

The card is listet as Asustek Tiger Hybrid Capture Device
on my system.

Try to search in this Forum for topics about P7131
and there is quite a bit to read.

The problem with this card is as i understand it, that MP
no longer suports card without hardware incoders.

So for the moment i dont think that this card will
work properly with MP, maby in the future.

I have read quite a few of the post but all seem to be different to the problem im having.

I might try an older version of media portal that mp that might help.
I did check that this card was compatible befor I got it maybe it is more compatible with older versions.

Thanks for your help I will let you know how I get on.

I've installed the older version of MP and now the card is recognised but cant seem to find any chanels and the card is not being listed as a Asus card only a 713xBDA analoge capture card (general S/W encoding card)
So im not sure where to go from here i've tried changing some setting but cant seem to tune anything in the screen stays black.
anyone have any advice?
